Sharing the Gospel Story (Workshop)

by Crossway Community Church | May 16, 2013

Most of us struggle with presenting the gospel in a clear and natural way, even when that “perfect opportunity” comes along. In this 3-week, hands-on workshop, we will learn to tell the gospel story well in relational contexts.

The first week, we will deepen our understanding of the gospel and how it is revealed in the Bible. The second week, we will work together to craft our own, personalized retellings of the gospel story. The final week, we will practice telling the story so that we can use it in everyday conversations.

This is the first of what we hope will be a series of workshops on gospel-oriented conversational storytelling. This workshop will focus on the gospel story. A follow-up workshop in August will focus on sharing personal stories about how God has worked in our lives. Other workshops may follow, depending on interest.

Please sign up here on The City if you’d like to attend.

Crossway at Prayer

by Crossway Community Church | April 23, 2013

In January of this year, Crossway had the privilege of having Tim Kerr speak to us on prayer.  While he was here, Tim met with several elders in private and stressed the need for corporate prayer in a local church. We couldn’t agree more and have felt the need to add a corporate prayer meeting to our already ongoing corporate prayer times currently held at 6:00 am every Sunday morning and at 9:30am before the Sunday morning service.

Beginning Sunday May 5, we will be praying corporately on the first Sunday of each month from 6:30-7:30pm in the CFN lobby. We want to encourage as many of you as possible to make this prayer meeting a priority. We know the Lord is at work among us and we also know that our prayers somehow play a role in his working. We need Him Crossway, We need His presence and His power among us. We need to gather to pray big prayers.

“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near” Is 55:6

“Ask and it will be given you; see and you will find; knock and it will be open to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be open” Luke 11:9,10
